Awards bestowed to Peugeot for being both stylish and environmentally friendly
Peugeot realise that their cars should be a beautiful harmony of style and substance. Their efforts have been rewarded recently with Auto Express recognising that the RCZ is still the Best Coupe of 2011 with its "talented chassis and strong engines that deliver the performance to match its striking styling". Not only that but they highlight how it is more competitively priced than that of its rivals.

The Next Green Car Awards of 2011 recently announced that Peugeot also won in two of its categories:
They noted that the Peugeot iOn which won the City-car award signals the arrival of the pure electric city car. "Practical, affordable, fun-to-drive, spacious enough for four, and a cinch to park." With an 80mph top speed and with a driving range of 90 miles and a 64 bhp electric motor it is perfect for the urban traveller.
Green awards don't just get bestowed upon electric cars however with the Peugeot 508 Saloon 1.6 e-HDi winning the Large Family Award of 2011. Providing 110 bhp with only 109 gCO2/km and a fuel economy of 67.2 mpg (combined) which is especially good considering its size, the 508 Saloon shows that an executive car can be a cost effective solution as well. They noted that the 508 was "A great looking car, the new semi-automatic 508 is spacious and well equipped. Build quality and handling are excellent, with the best fuel economy in its class". With a starting price of only £19,050 on the road, it marries the best of both worlds: luxury and economy.
