Why Charters loves the Peugeot 5008
The Peugeot 5008 is a great vehicle to drive - which is why we love it.  The driver benefits from excellent road visibility thanks to a raised driving position and the 1.70m² large front windscreen.  The 1.69m² panoramic glass roof (standard on Exclusive models) creates a light interior and contributes to the feeling of space, which includes 1476mm of front elbow width, 1520mm across the three individual seats in the second row and 1341mm in the third row.  Leg room is also generous, as is headroom, which means tall passengers can be accommodated without difficulty.

The identical second row seats can be reclined, moved forwards and backwards by 130mm and folded individually into the floor creating a flat surface level with the rear loading sill. The front passenger seat can also be folded into a shelf configuration, giving a possible load length of 2.76m.  And, we love the easy access offered for the third row of full size seats, which also fold flat into the rear floor.

We have to mention the innovative technology available on the Peugeot 5008 which includes:

Head-Up Display - meaning the driver can view essential driving information (speed, cruise control/speed limiter and distance alert) as if it was projected onto the windscreen thanks to a translucent panel which extends from the top of the instrument panel.  This unique feature on this level of MPV, enables the driver to concentrate on the road ahead, at all times.

Distance Alert - this feature offers a radar located behind the lower front bumper panel to transmit the distance to a vehicle ahead of the Peugeot 5008 in seconds to the head-up display. By setting the system to maintain a distance of 0.9-2.5 seconds, an automatic warning advises when the driver gets too close.  Distance alert complements the Peugeot 5008's speed limiter and cruise control safety features.

Snow Motion - adds a further automatic function to the traditional traction control system, allowing the driver to move off and make effective progress on icy or snow-covered roads.

Head/Curtain Air Bag - covering all three rows of seats on seven seat versions of the Peugeot 5008.

Multimedia System - the second row passengers can enjoy an integrated multimedia system consisting of two 7'' colour screens located in the back of the front seat head restraints; a connection console enables the connection of different types of mobile audio/video equipment and two Bluetooth wireless headsets. It is also possible to connect two different video sources simultaneously, making each screen independent in terms of the image being shown.

Charters offers three trim levels for Peugeot 5008 - Active, Sport and Exclusive.  All feature the characteristic multiflex interior with seven seats, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), automatic electric parking brake with hill assist, energy saver tyres and air conditioning as standard.  The range starts with the Peugeot 5008 VTi 120 petrol model, available from Charters dealers in a choice of the three specification levels, with the Active priced at £17,945 on the road.

Caring for the environment
The Peugeot 5008 equipped with the 1.6 litre HDi diesel FAP 110 bhp engine with electronically controlled 6-speed gearbox returns 54.3 mpg (combined) and CO2 emissions of 135 g/km.
