Why Charters loves the Peugeot 4007
This is Peugeot's first 4x4 - created in partnership with Mitsuibishi Motors, which has a respected track record in the sector.  The Peugeot 4007 handles like a car, evidencing Peugeot's legendary road handling character.  It delivers power and torque in town and off-road thanks to the Peugeot 2.2 litre HDi FAP engine which is quiet and smooth with its 6-speed manual gearbox.   The innovative 'on-demand' 4-wheel drive system is simple to operate with an intelligent Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to distribute torque where needed.  This system is great for off-road driving, but also comes into its own in winter weather - like the snow, which is increasingly common in the UK.

Charters' favourite feature of the Peugeot 4007
The Peugeot 4007 is a rugged five-door vehicle with a length of 4.64m, a width of 1.80m, height of 1.71m and ground clearance of 176mm.  Up to seven people can be comfortably seated, with the rear two seats easily folding flat into the rearboot space.  At Charters we also like the split tailgate, with the lower section able to support a weight of 200kg, whilst offering a flat loading sill height only 600mm from the ground.  It couldn't be easier to accommodate dogs, children or those unusual loads we all need to carry more and more often.

The special edition Peugeot 4007 Sport XS is based on the entry SE model, adding a full exterior styling kit, 18" alloy wheels and sports black leather seats for an on the road price of £24,695.  The Sports styling kit includes chrome side bars, wing mirror covers, door handles and a twin tail pipe extension. Body coloured front lower and rear roof spoilers completes the distinctive exterior. Bluetooth handsfree telephone facility is also a standard feature of 4007 Sport XS.

The Peugeot 4007 diesel engine is economical to run returning 38.6mpg (combined cycle) and low CO2 emissions (191 g/km) - supported by a particulate emissions filter meeting Euro 4 standard.
