Auto Express reviews the New Citroen DS5 - a car with no equal

A car hotly anticipated across the UK (the Citroen DS5) has had its first review. Auto Express was handed a left hand drive version of the flagship car from the iconic DS range and their first impressions were extremely positive.

Driving the hybrid version of the premium car (Citroen's first production unit) they found that it could manage 0-62mph in only 8.6 seconds. With an impressive drive and stunning good looks the DS5 manages to tick all the right boxes...and with a staggering 70mpg it won't be expensive to run either.

The reviewer noted how on open roads the combination of power sources (both electrical and internal combustion) meant that overtaking was a breeze.

Highlighting the effect of smaller road tyres on fuel consumption, it was advised that buyers should get 17" tyres which bring the car's emissions down (meaning no congestion charge) and an impressive 74mpg.

The Citroen DS5 is the third in the luxury DS range of cars and (as with both the DS3 and DS4) manages to leave a lasting impression.
