With a new Citroen C1 starting from only £6995, it is amongst the cheapest cars on the market. This offers the rare opportunity to drive a new vehicle that doesn't punish your wallet.

The Facelifted Citroen C1 has:
  • redesigned front bumper
  • Fog lights and LED daytime running lights (a first for this category of vehicle).
Interior additions include:
  • Air Conditioning
  • Alloy wheels  (VTR models)
  • Rev counter  (VTR models)
  • Citroen Connecting Box for Bluetooth compatibility (VTR models).
Not only this but the new Citroen C1 will give you choice of selecting a new Electronic Gearbox system on certain models. This gives the driver a racing style, paddle-controlled gearbox (mounted to the steering column). This edition has CO2 emissions of just 104g/km and provides 62.8 mpg on a combined cycle. With a boot that extends from 139 litres to an impressive 700 litres with a few adjustments to the rear seating, the new Citroen C1 is certainly a car to look out for.

With a new look to the Citroen C1 comes a new colour choice for its drivers. From April, you can order the C1 in Botticelli Blue.

Richard Hammond (writing for The Mirror) claimed that "it will easily remain one of the best young driver/student cars available on the market today". With its 1.0 litre engine, he claimed it is "clean and frugal". An ideal combination not often seen in the behemoth vehicles of the 21st Century.

The Facelift Citroen C1 is available from April from £6995 and (with its 1.0 litre engine and manual gearbox) provides 99g/km CO2 emissions which bring it into the "free UK road tax" bracket along with being congestion charge exempt. So with a low buying price, excellent fuel economy, low insurance and free road tax, the Citroen C1 proves that owning a car in a world where fuel prices are expensive, is not only a possibility but pure pleasure.
