Why Charters is proud of  the Citroen Berlingo
The new Citroen Berlingo offers a modern look, increased load capacity, a choice of 2 load lengths and so many standard features, it is hard to count them.  Indeed, the new Berlingo has set a new benchmark for the hi-cube van market.  No wonder we're so proud.

Safety and security are key aspects of the new Berlingo.  Safety is paramount with driver's airbag, optional lateral airbags, ABS and reinforced side and front bumper protection.  Security is sorted by the Berlingo's central locking and transponder immobiliser fitted as standard on all models.

Despite being made from tough and durable materials, inside the Berlingo is comfortable and easy to drive with car-like ergonomics.  It even features the ability to fold down the single or middle passenger seat, (depending which model you choose) to create a handy table-top for when you need to update your paperwork - or just stop to eat your lunch.

What the media say
VansUnited wrote: “What you get is a very competent and smoothly styled 3 cubic metre box with plenty of room for two people up front. But the 'piece de resistance' as the French would say is under the bonnet, the excellent 90 hp 2 litre HDi engine jointly developed by the PSA Group. There is a 1.4 litre 75 hp petrol engine and a 71 hp 1.9 litre diesel unit, which is no slouch in such a light van, but the HDi unit is still just about the best in the business.”

Caring for the environment
The Citroen Berlingo van offers three 4-cylinder engines - the 75hp and 90hp 1.6HDi Euro IV diesel engines or the 90hp 1.6i Euro IV petrol version.  These return impressive fuel economy and low CO2 emission levels.

Charters’ customer choice

Whichever version you choose, from the L1 X model to the top of the range L2 LX, the Berlingo is a great business vehicle.  On the petrol LX and all diesel models, Trafficmaster's Smartnav system, with dynamic traffic guidance is even fitted as standard.

There are few competitors if you require a Platform Cab version - enabling you to select a range of specialist conversions based on the Berlingo.  With a choice of payloads and load space of up to 4.1 cubic metres, the new Berlingo can be readily adapted to a range of working requirements.

Other handy features include an innovative Extenso seat system on the LX - enabling the main load space to be extended into the passenger seat area. Whilst the standard asymmetric 60:40 rears doors can be supplemented by optional side sliding doors (twin or single) and a rear opening roof flap.
